Analyze speeches, essays, and other non-fiction
Identify author’s purpose, audience, rhetorical strategies
Analyze how rhetorical devices contribute to purpose and effectiveness
Read and evaluate high-scoring responses
Write full rhetorical analysis essays using past prompts
Session 8-11/ Synthesis
Evaluate sources for relevance and purpose
Integrate various sources into strong, coherent arguments
Argumentation, Counterargumenation, and Rebuttal
Read and evaluate high-scoring responses
Write full synthesis analysis essays using past prompts
Session 12-15 / Argumentative
Argumentation, Counterargumenation, and Rebuttal
Develop clear line of reasoning
Incorporate varied evidence types (historical, societal, personal)
Read and evaluate high-scoring responses
Write full argumentative essays using past prompts

Weekly MCQ Practice

Throughout the class, students will be able to:
Learn the fundamentals to succeed on the AP English Language Exam
Gain invaluable analytical reading skills and analytical/argumentative writing abilities
Practice Time Management - writing 3 essays within 2 hours (~40 min each)
Complete a total of 15 MCQ real test sets + 15 FRQ real test sets (45 essays +)
