Celebrating National Publication

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a major milestone in our BRIX Writing Program.
8th Grade Tyee Middle School, Bellevue, WA
Essay: Not the Apocalypse, Just a Random Tuesday
Topic: Growing Up With AI
We are thrilled to congratulate Yuna Kim on being published in The New York Times Learning Network.
Yuna has been developing her writing at BRIX over several years. Beginning in middle school, she consistently refined her narrative voice, analytical depth, and revision discipline through structured mentorship and competition preparation. Prior to this national publication, she earned multiple regional and national recognitions, including Scholastic Gold Key awards and a National Silver Medal.
Her published essay explores how Generation Z experiences artificial intelligence not as dystopia, but as an ordinary part of daily life. Through cultural analysis and sharp generational insight, she reframes fear into adaptation and evolving creativity.
“In embracing A.I., we're not losing our humanity. We're evolving it.”
This achievement reflects long-term intellectual development, disciplined revision, and the confidence to articulate a generational perspective on a national platform.
We are immensely proud of Yuna’s continued growth as a writer.
